Hi Everyone,
I've been working on my coop plans in Sketchup and am wondering if the design I've got is too weak or I'm over analyzing things. I know studs are generally supposed to be placed every 16-24" but I'd prefer to not to do that on the front wall to keep the run more open. Am I asking for problems with 40" spacing on either side of the door frame? The headers above the door and supporting the raised coop are doubled 2x4s. The dimensions of the wall are ~16' x 8'. It's going to have a shingle roof on 2x6 rafters.
Thanks!
