Im am getting 3 or 4 runner ducks and im wondering about how big i should build there coop i was thinking about 4 x 6 or should i go bigger. They are gonna be contained mainly inside within a couple months impending the canadian snow fall and harsh climate. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

If they are going to be in there all the time, I would say bigger. Mine have a 15X10' run and they are in the yard all day (this was for my original 7). Storey's Guide says 6-8 sq ft per duck minimum if they are going to be inside for extended periods. You just need to remember that the smaller it is the grosser it will get quickly. That means more mucking out for you in the winter. If they are inside you'll need their food and water in there which will make more mess.
