coop Sold out :)

yes It certinly requires some assembly, and no they are not great coops but are made ok and will serve the purpose. I have seen similar ones and again they are cheap but ok. Most of us it seems are using it for bantams and I can say that the exact same coop sells for over $400 elsewhere. Since I am keeping 5 I hope they are good enough, I would not have gone through all the trouble if I thought they were total junk.

Well, my two are going to be a drake bachelor pad and an excuse for evil silkies. muahahahahahaha

I expect to have to put them together and I expect to have to reinforce the run for predator protection however, I would spend more than 180.00 for materials to build one from scratch so it is worth it to me.

Let us know when you can about the fungicide...I want to check that out but it is not affecting my purchase my dear.

Not to butt in but that might have something to do with the prevention of Black Mold. Here in Florida alot of peoples homes were built with OSB board from China and now they can't live in their homes because of the black mold. Maybe our government finally made them fumigate the wood before letting it into the country.Dont want to hijack the thread just my thoughts

I do not think it should be a problem at all. That is a fumigation done for mediterranean fruit flies, various spores, fungi etc etc and it is put on fruits directly and deabsorbs in most cases within 48 hours. If that is the case, it should certainly pose no threat after this time length in transit. Edit: Most frui receive it at 21C so I think the 31C being warmer, would still desorb very rapidly. Surely, easy enough to primer over if you had doubts without much worry I would think.

Here is the link information on it if you care to read...it is required by all of Asia, Australia and several other countries.
