This may be a dumb question but. . .
I've seen the posts about the area needed per chicken (4 sq ft per chicken roughly) but what area do you use for the calculations when using a chicken tractor. I have a house area which is off the ground with roosts and nesting area within the house. There is an open area below the house area (which I wasn't counting as run area) but is sheltered from above by the floor of the house area. So, do I count the open area as run area or coop area?

The open area is run while the closed area with roost is house area.
