Coop up off the ground?

My coop is up off the ground for all the reasons mentioned. One feature I haven't seen mentioned is to have a wire floor in part of the coop under the roosts. Having the coop elevated allows me to keep a wagon under there to catch the poop. All I have to do is wheel the wagon to my compost pile and empty it and I'm done. A larger coop would require a larger wagon or cart but still could be done.

I have mine higher because I hate having to stoop to clean. It was purely selfish on my part - however it also allows more security and we do have some flooding from time to time in big rain storms so I was able to convince my hubby it was absolutely necessito!
