Coop Ventilation Question

I am fairly new to this and have been excited to find that BYC has everything I need.

I have 2 orpingtons, 2 sexlinks, a bantum, and 2 roen ducks. I plan to put them in a room that is 4 feet wide x 10 feet long and about 6 feet high. This room is on the edge of my garage and I will cut a hole for them to access a run in my backyard.

My main question is about ventilation. How do you figure out how much YOU need. I know ventilation is the most important thing so I want to make sure I have enough for them.

I saw these and thought about putting them up against the ceiling along the 10 foot wall, that leads to the backyard. Do you think that would be enough ventilation? I would like to stay away from windows if possible because of break ins in my area.

Also I will have food and water inside the coop. And I plan to pipe water to the run outside, but do I need to put food in the run as well? Or is in the coop enough?

Thank you in advance for you answers!

I thought I saw somewhere on here in the past that 1 square feet per bird would be sufficent. Maybe someone else on this forum might have some other advice.
