I'm in the process of turning part of an existing shed in to a 4'x8' coop for about 4 chickens. There is a 32"x15" window on one wall and an 8" round vent in the roof. will that be enough ventilation?

I personally don't think so. I would add some mesh wire on the side or maybe more windows. It's good that you added the vent in the roof, that's helpful. If you have free range chickens then i think it will be fine...

It may get pretty hot in there during the warm months. You could add a few pop doors or even leave the door open to a secured run. I would add awnings over openings to keep out rain. The more vents with the ability to close them off the better. This way you can tweek air flows and air direction as needed.
