Coop w/ Basment

Anyone ever made a coop with a basement? I think it would make a cool coop and make a nice insulated space for winter would be warm in summer would be cool. Any ideas?

nope instead of building up i would like a hole line it with bricks and build a main floor.

I undertand what you're talking about. But you would have to either seal or line it with something so it would not fill up with water. Just like with any other basement.

I would probley put a ponduse liner in it and make a recessed area with a hole for a sump pump?????

Didn't find anything just a straw bale coop ontop of a root celler

A space like that tends to have dampness problems, partly from the ground but also partly from warm humid outdoor air meeting cool very-high-thermal-mass indoor space. This is a particular challenge with chickens. It is not an insuperable challenged, but I don't know as I'd do it on purpose in most cases. Possibly in a desert-y area with naturally dry air and hot summers.
