Coops Coop

My daughter is 6 so close to the same age as your son when that happened
They do start learning cause and effect around that age. I'm sorry about your chicks, glad the cat is not being blamed, just as our dog wasn't. It's up to us as stewards to keep our charges safe, not expect animals to resist their natural urges..

I had to explain that to her as well. She was immediately mad at the cat and wanted to get rid of her. I told her that it was our fault for leaving the door open and she was just being a normal cat and that’s what they do.

Well hubby is out of town for the day. The chicken feed came in the mail so I had to put my muscles to use 😅
Also picture of one of our sweet babies for tax ❤️

Blanche joined the girls today on top of the tote right beside my chair! So much progress.
She even stood on my foot for a minute (after she pecked my toe a few times to see if it was edible 🤣).
A week ago she wouldn’t even come out of the coop to free range with the others!

Does anyone ever feel so tired that they don’t think they can go out and do chicken chores in the morning?? That’s me this morning 😅 my oldest was up several times last night and I’m struggling to leave my warm blankets 🤣 plus I think I hear it raining…maybe I’ll send my husband out instead 🤣🤣🤣🤣
