COOPS ~ Post Pictures Of Yours

Here is my coop for the girls and hubby built a mini coop birdhouse for the garden.
We have shade cloth for the girls. Keeps the run a little cooler during our hot summer. They love being under the coop in the cool sand. There is an autofill waterer which comes in handy if we are gone for the day or so. We also have a web cam above the entrance door to keep an eye on them and for my daughter who is out of state watch them on ustream. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/chick-coop-cam

This is my coop, we just built it out of stuff we had around. It has 2- 4 x 6 windows as it saved on building material and we had the windows. They are double paned but moisture gets between them which is why they were taken out of house. both ends slide open so I have plastic over bottom 3/4 so the top is open for ventilation on the south side and one on the east side. It is 8 x 8 inside.

Still have a little painting to do but nearly complete. There is a window on the south side and 4 doors to access the 12 private suites. The girls like to sleep on the upper roosts no matter how cold it gets ( so far its been down to about 35 degrees overnight). I made heavy canvas covers for the gable ends to cut down on the wind during the winter.

Going to add on a larger run when time allows.

Ok...here is mine. Built of all recycled materials....the barn fell down and my husband did a remodel job and had to haul off all the materials and as we live out in the country it all came here. Then this weekend we built another run and I put in a temp house for the one rooster and when DH come back from working out of town he will build a matching coop for this new run. My brother is an architect and I sent him pictures. He said his employees were impressed with our design skills....lol...and I am pretty sure he was not serious. The chickens love it and that is what matters. I told him it was all GREEN.

Our shed coop conversion, which really needs a paint job, with breeding pen next door for our standard-sized ladies and the roo:

They are in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Here's my coop - the plywood under the coop is removed during summer - during winter it provides wind/snow/rain blockage.
