Coops predator proof

Is there a way to make chicken coops predator proof, or are they already? I remember someone told me to add extra chicken wire/fencing around the metal wire fencing installed to the coop? (I can add pictures if you need them).

are you talking about a pre made coop, if so those are awful and I would scrap the idea and make your own, but a shed coop should be fine but hardware cloth should be put over windows and vents, chicken wire can be used but it only keeps the chickens in it does not keep predators out. a pic would help a lot but if you can also add what predators are in your area that can help too.
