Hi I live in Riverton Utah new to the game my son's moving down from Laramie Wyoming and bringing his 14 chicken so they can move in with us to get stuff fixed and better off anyway long story short I was offered a free RV trailer that is fully enclosed that I could get out to make as a chicken coop I need to know what people's thoughts are on that or if I should just build a chicken coop

Welcome. I think it is a great idea...if it meets the following:
1. Enough space for the chickens
2. secure (no hole larger than 1/2 inch), cover any holes with 1/2 inch hardware cloth.
3. Enough ventilation

Welcome to BYC. I considered this once but decided against it for the following reasons; you would need to add lots of awning because you would need to keep all the windows open 24/7. The windows would need to be covered with 19 gauge 1/2" hardware cloth.
RV would need to be in deep shade and fitted with fans because it will be very hard to keep it cool. In my climate keeping it below 85 was not possible. That plus the fact that it would need to be mice and rat resistant were my number one reasons for not following through.
