Copper Splash Marans vs. Chicken Calculator

I am familiar with human DNA and the genes that make up our appearance and traits. I'm trying to figure out the chicken breeding side of chicken raising. We are just now able to identify one of the birds that we raised, which is a copper splash Marans. What do you need to put into the chicken calculator to represent the copper splash coloring? Also, are you able to adjust the query to allow for beetle green iridescence? Thank you!

For a Splash Copper I'd select the Black Copper and convert the Blue gene to pure for Blue, which will give you Splash Copper.

As for the green iridescence good luck. I know of no way to do that and don't think this calculator is that refined.

I would be surprised any calculator would have an option for iridescence... that sheen happens on any bird with black plumage. Any species, any gender.

Marans people (I have heard them) will argue about the irridescent sheen of a BCM and whether it should be purple or green. (Most times it is either depending on the light). But as for breeding for it..... that is gonna be nothing to do with this "calculator" you speak of.

Co Columbia: co+/co+
Db Darkbrown: db+/db+
Pg Pattern gene: pg+/pg+
Ml Melanotic: ml+/ml+
Cha Charcoal: Cha+/Cha+
Mh Mahogany: mh+/mh+
Di Dilute: di+/di+
Ig Inhibitor of Gold: Ig+/Ig+
Cb Champagneblond: cb+/cb+
S Silver: s+/s+
B Barring: b+/b+
Choc Chocolate: Choc+/Choc+
