Ha! I'm glad I could give you a laugh. Chickens are a new project for me but I'm loving all I am learning. As long as she is a she, I'm not concerned about a mixed breed. I'm actually not surprised since all the chicks I got from this guy seem to be random!

So, another probably laughable question- was you laying comment in regards to her gender or egg color for breed?

Yes, it was in regard to breed. Egg color can also point to some breeds. If she lays a blue, green, or olive colored egg she is very likely an Ameraucana cross "Easter Egger or Olive Egger".

Might also be a Cochin mix. Fits her features better. Marans crosses usually have white skin.
