Corbdee's Cookout

Ok so maybe 2pm was an understatement.

All 14 eggs made it to lockdown!! :celebrate:yesss: I have several internal pippers, most air cells look great (a few are pretty small, though :hmm, I'll have to keep an eye on them.)
Some pip pics:

And I'm quite surprised, but I have an external pipped on day 25!! Reality check just came in...I need to get a brooder ready!

So that made it a bit difficult to transition the eggs to the hatching tray, I was nervous because they needed to be placed on a towel outside while I took the turner out. Go duckies!

Also have only one malpositioned duck as far as I know.

He has a bruise just under the air cell, so to stay on top of things I went ahead and made a safety hole in the middle as I could tell he's trying to internally pip.

Good job on the safety hole
I’m still mad at myself for misjudging the baby being in the air cell when the bruise was right beside it
I didn’t make the hole and that one died with only a little yolk left
Lesson learned always male safety hole looks like babies are moving into position as I can see sons room in the egg now
That’s how mine look right before internal pips
Go babies Go :)

Awe, I'm sorry I know it's rough to lose one when you thought you could save it, but it happens to everyone, and I've learned a lot from you...I might've just left the egg alone if I didn't know about bruises but your tips help lots :D.
