Corid and week old chicks

Question about corid. I need to treat my 1week old chicks. I do not have them on medicated food and want to give a direct dose. But, they are so darn small. How do you make sure that such tiny babies get the right amount. Can it be overdosed? Not that I am just giving them a big syringe full. But starting with correct dose and then doing it approximately due to what misses and gets on my hand while administrating it. Any thoughts on this situation ?

For background, these chicks are with their mama (in the house with me). So I'm having a heck of a time monitoring and making sure they are drinking. She seems to refuse a wet mash and won't lead them to it.

If you feel you must give them a direct dose (like a chick is too weak to drink), you can put some of the Corid water from the waterer in a small cup, and then draw the syringe dosage from that.
