How are they laying? Maybe it's a reproductive issue, especially if your one chicken was 4yrs. old.

I don’t think the older one was laying great but she was an ok layer every few days she’d lay. The others are laying only ok also but that may be because of the heat.

Are you putting ice in there water to help keep them cool? Blowing a fan near your coop to provide adequate air flow can also help.

There's no way to know really what happened unless you investigate with necropsy.
Laying hens can suffer from reproductive issues, so that may have been the cause - speculation on my part.

Hot weather can affect them, so making sure they have shade and fresh cool water is one way to help them out.

Yes, that can happen.

Problems laying, refusing food and water and having diarrhea are symptoms. Reproductive issues cannot be fixed.
