Corn and Soy free......?

just found this...i suppose everyone needs to read this, then resume discussion...release date later this month ....of course...how did it get to gmo from corn and soy free? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...d-anti-science-ignoring-evidence-dangers.html
Jane Goodall is not an expert in this subject - she's a primatologist. That article is an opinion piece, and it is not backed up by science.

Here's a counter take, illustrating a lot of what's shes wrong about.

Thanks for posting.

Thought this was worth reading so posting a link. It is regarding GM in general.

The thesis of the article that was signed by 300 scientists regarding GM is that anyone that claim that GM is safe is not basing that on adequate testing even though they purport that there has been adequate testing. In the US, the FDA gave GM a "GRAS' rating (Generally Regarded as Safe) even though proper testing has not happened.

Anyhow, here' is the article if anyone is interested:

My own personal "take" on GM is that the health and fertility problems we're seeing that seem to be related to GM contaminated feeds (for human or animal) may be as much due to the high amount of glyphosate that they can tolerate which is not only "on" the plant but taken up into their structure as well. Those high levels, in addition to chemical fertilizer and pesticides used on GM crops, I think may be enough to be a health hazard...not to mention the terminator genes and other "wonders" of GM...

I guess we shall see.

But I think the main message these scientists are getting at is that we are at risk of having contaminated our soils in such a way that we will have a hard time "healing" the land and IT HAS JUST BEEN A HUGE EXPERIMENT that may go terribly wrong...and never should have been released into the open until more conclusive testing was done on the long-term effects.

This is unequivocably wrong. GMO foods go through an extremely rigorous testing brigade that is drastically more stringent than those present in other types of food.

Here is one example - the single largest feeding trial ever conducted - and it's a study of GMO foods:

It's really interesting that Vandana Shiva is one of the authors of that paper claiming that not enough testing being done, when her environmental group is breaking into test plots of Golden Rice and burning the fields.

When the typhoon hit India in '99, and the US sent aid (in the form of fruits, grains, vegetables, etc) - she got on the news and railed about how these foods would change the genetics of the Indian people - the Indians burned the aid - and thousands starved.

Hello Everyone!

I just came across corn, soy and canola free ration for hog feed. Here is a LINK to it. This is only one, but they have 3 types for the different levels of hog growth cycle. Of course they have it for chicken layers and broiler as well, but I thought if anyone was like me they might want to know about it

Organic Hog Early Grower - 18% protein
Organic Hog Late Grower - 16% protein
Organic Hog Finisher - 14% protein

RATION INGREDIENTS:
Organic Hog Early Grower - Corn Soy and Canola Free - 18% protein - ingredients list

Thanks for the link!

Does anyone know where we can get organically grown sesame seeds for animal feed that are at feed seed prices rather than "fancy store" prices?

No soy or corn for my girls! They have zero need for either.... Simple cheap fillers! I feed them the way my cats, dog and family eat.... Maybe the animals eat even better

Absolutely no corn and soy for my girls! Strictly organic feed made with whole-grain, the rest is just cheap sellers that have absolutely no nutritional value, I use Modesto or scratch and peck
