Corn for chickens

Quote:
Yes they can eat and will love whole corn. Cracked corn is dried and broken up. Creamed corn is OK too, and mine will wait under the suet feeders and eat suet with cornmeal. I also give them popcorn mostly popped, but sometimes the unpopped kernals as well.
Most people suggest keeping corn as a treat in small amounts, as it is not the most nutritious food.

Whole corn as in deer corn? Mine can't eat it, it's too big, we do cracked corn.

I've heard you can soak whole corn overnight and it will soften so your birds can eat it......................or are yall talking about like people corn?

keep hearing about cracked corn. Is that corn that has been crushed. I have a lot of whole corn, but can they digest whole corn.

Your talking Feed/Field Corn?
You can feed it to them whole they should eat it..
The other thing you could look into if you have a lot of corn say around 300 lbs is see if you mill will roll or crack it for you..

I feed cracked corn to my "big" girls. They love it! When I shake the can, it is very funny to watch them run to get it!
