Is it ok to feed your full grown chickens whole corn kernals? I gave some to mine today and they really liked them.

Mine get dried cracked corn, and cooked whole kernel corn.

And other grains are mixed in along with medicated crumbles.

Ok thanks! Was just wondering because I still feel it in my roo's crop. And they do have grit.

corn will not hurt chickens. I've fed it to standards and bantams my whole life.

Too much and they will get too much body fat and could die (cochins are especially sensitive to this, as they are lazy

) or hens will go broody much more easily.

oo I've been trying to get one of my leghorn girls to go broody lol. I guess corn is on their menu now
