Jaku, while I believe you when you say you mean no insult or disrespect, here's copied/pasted quotes from Bossroo:
"there are some that do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result even thaugh(sic) the genetics for feed conversion rate is just not there. Akin to feeding a pony foal extra grain for 10 years and expecting to have it pull the Budwiser(sic) wagon at the Superbowl."
(Which isn't true. Those of us who raise heritage/DP's know perfectly well what we'll get. We are NOT expecting something different every time we do it. We are NOT expecting C.X growth rates.)
"Some don't seem to understand what is explained to them, or are fed erroneous or prejudised(sic) information, so one has to step back and patiently explain the facts again."
(Again, we DO understand, we just have a different preference.)
Both of these statements infer both ignorance and stupidity on the part of the people he's referring to. He also said Buster's meat birds that are bigger than C. X's are probably turkeys...as if Buster is too stupid to know what he has, or too dishonest to say they're turkeys. Either way, it's both insulting and disrespectful. You don't have to say outright, "you're stupid", or "you're ignorant", to get the point across. BTW, I have DP's that often get bigger than C. X's. Just not at 8 weeks. Mine are often over 6 lbs dressed weight, frequently over 7 lbs. And they ARE NOT turkeys, they're chickens, and I really can tell the difference.)

Your opinion is just as worthy of respect as anybody else's, and you often have some good ideas and info. It just seems that every time anybody states they prefer not to raise C. X's, (except in that ONE thread where it was made clear from the start that the thread was NOT to be used to debate about C. X's, but to discuss sustainable breeds) here come a bunch of arguments trying to convince them that they just have to, or they're wasting time, money, space, etc.
I apologize for lumping you in with Bossroo.
Anyway, I disagree that each and every subject needs to be debated to death. Posters often are asking for info, and sometimes they don't get it, because the subject instead turns into the same old debate you read over and over again. It gets tiring.
Maybe some people use a forum as an outlet to let off steam, and I guess venting on a forum is better than kicking the dog. Not saying that you do that, or any other specific person, that's just speculation.
