Hi there,
I have a pair of 4 month old Cornish crosses, I would perfer to only feed them as much as I feed my normal chickens daily...however I feel bad for them being as they always look so hungry....being a cornish cross that's not suprising but the thing is I dont want to waste feed to satisfy their crop....so what things can I offer them daily after thier normal feed in the morning to keep them happy while also keeping them healthy. i was thinking of supplimenting with bread but I dont think that's really a healthy idea, and not to mention I swear they dont consider anything food but their feed...

Chickens are always hungry. I'm guessing that you are trying to keep them as pets instead of dinner. You can give then a little more than normal chickens because they are bigger. I feed my normal chickens free choice, but that would not work for the cornishX.

Supplement with kelp. It helps convert the feed more efficiently so they eat less food, because their bodies need less. I have heard that you can use 2-5 % in with your pellets/crumbles, and some people just put it in a container and let the chickens decide how much they need.
