Don't know if anybody else has had this experience, but this summer I've been trying to get my broiler chicks (Cornish X) to graze of grass, both to cut down on the feed bill and to get some fresh greens, bugs, etc. into them. I've been turning them out on grass every morning and "sowing" the feed so that they have to go "hunting and pecking" for it. Then I let them free-range all day.

Just this morning I let 'em out and didn't spread any feed. In a couple of minutes I look around and a number of them (not all) are eating grass.

I'm pumped.

Good job great plan and execution.
