I have raised this type in the past but don't really know the best way to feed them. I fed chick start crumbles until near time to butcher. My new chicks should come in at the feed store this week end. The crumbles have anti-biotics. Sure could use some suggestions of what is the best feed for the buck.

I used non-medicated organic chick starter for mine. Sometimes that is hard to find, and it is definitely expensive. You can get game bird starter, which is high in protein.

I think I will go with the chick start for the 1st 2 weeks then go with the game bird. I also vaccinate for pox as there are a lot of mosquitos right now.
