Not right now, things generally start slowing down around thanksgiving. I work for Gulfspan,we travel all over. Texas has a pile of turnaround companies.
Thanks anyway. I've been away from the turn arounds for a little while and doing add ons and things. Not that I'm opposed to it, It's just that I get phone calls to go to this work with less headache and have gotten away from it and the people and their numbers
I'm like you guys, work on Petrochem/ Chemical plants, Refineries and Oil Terminals mainly doing Blending & Pumping Rigs, keeps me away from home more than I'd like, long days.
I did just get 2 large boxes one fits mostly in the other. Sticks up an inch but I have straps and they have been throwing away ENORMOUS amounts of big boxes with nice 1x6's 11'6'' to make me a couple of chicken tractors. 1 for the big Cornish 1 for the Bantam breeders and leave my others here they are. I also got a lot of 4x4 treated and untreated 8'. And a few 2x4s. I'm waiting to get pulled over in Illinois on my way home with my guns in the camper. You have to have a permit to own or carry a gun unloaded in the trailer there. Just found that out. Found out where I stopped In IL on my way up that you need that permit to buy ammo there. I'm between Chicago and Detroit this OK cowboy that doesn't belong up here carries.
Me too. That's why I was thinking about switching companys to a closer to home job. Gulfspan may be the way to go. At least with a shut down I have time off at home after so long instead of just staying gone.
That's what I like about turn arounds. I make my money and go HOME. My company keeps me working as much as i will let them .lol I've been with this same core group for 30 yrs. They are like family to me.
