I thought i read somewhere that they can't handle hot weather? Is this true? I want to raise some during the summer, it will get to be in the 90's even in the shade.

All day shade - cool water to drink. A ventilation fan of some sort to move the air around, even if not blowing directly into them. Some people rig up misting stations. Some chickens seem to like it, others less so, so generally you would put the mister in one area, not the whole enclosure.

they are warm creatures: little meat production factories furiously creating meat from the feed at a fast conversion rate, so they will not handle the heat without some assistance.
