Ok we will have the cornish x processed. What do I do with the regular chickens, barred rock, rir etc....? do I fatten these up to with broiler food. Will these chickens be good for just tacos or stew? How do I tell them apart from the roasters?

I just want to know what do people do with so many extra roosters?

The regular roos will never get as fleshy as the cornish x's but you grow them out to 12-16 weeks and butcher them the same. The difference between the carcasses will be obvious, but just make sure you label them. They will not be as good fryers, but can be fried, you just need to allow more pieces per person! If you wait to the full 16 week , then you are talking better for slow cooking methods, they make wonderful tamales and slow oven roasting etc. Beyond that you would do well to start looking up your soup recipes! JMHO!

rom the economic standpoint the best thing to do with them is kill them as you take them out of the shipping box.
But if you have free feed then you might break even.
