Gosh you guys, Im so torn as to what to do with this bird. I dont want to give it up so that someone can make food out of it, but yet I dont want to keep it, limit its food and ultimately have it suffer. I get to go to work now and think about it all day while trying to get my work done.

I've read stories of people that had these birds for 3-5 years - a lot of stories about getting big double-yoke eggs from the hens.
