I've seen pics of beautiful "coronation" chickens. Does anyone have more pics to post or could you tell me about the history of these birds?

"Coronation" is a variety of the Sussex bred of chicken. That colour of Sussex is said to have been developed to celebrate the cornation of King George VI. The internet says it was developed in the 1940s though there were no monarchs crowned in Britain during that decade (King George VI came to the throne in 1936 & his coronation was in 1937). The colour is basically the same as the "Light" Sussex but with blue (UK) or lavender (Aus) diluting the black.
