Yes it is sad. Every life lost to this virus is a tragedy, especially when so many could have been prevented. Mask up. Wash hands. Keep your distance. Contain your cough. And get vaccinated!

My SIL and BIL mocked my DH and me today, saying we are willing to be "guinea pigs" for the vaccine. That's just silly and ignorant. The vaccine was tested on tens of thousands of people before it was approved for general use. THOSE brave people were the "guinea pigs!" And we should regard them as heroes. The vaccines are safe and over 90% effective. They will stop the spread, save lives and get us back to normal! Just Do It!

Someone just posted that their friend was paralyzed from the vax but you declare it is SAFE and being concerned about it is silly. Hmm not too silly to those injured by the vaccine.

I wouldn't mock anyone who decides to get the vaccine now--we were waiting for it to be available to us. But my friend laying in the hospital paralyzed made me now want to wait and see. still masking/distancing
