First timer here with eight 10-week old hens. This morning when I opened the coop, there was what looked like bloody poops below the roosts. Since they had all hopped down, I couldn't tell which one was roosted where. I couldn't find any obvious injuries or bloody spots on any of them, and everyone was acting normal. I had my husband pick up some Corvid liquid (based on a search of this forum), but he won't be home until about 3 pm today. In the meantime, I cleaned out the coop, put in fresh shavings, dumped the old shavings out in our field (away from coop and run), and replaced food and water (not sure I needed to, but while I was at it...). Since then, one of the RIR's was acting "subdued", as in, she let me pick her up without any squawking or flapping which is odd. So I brought her into the house and put her into the brooder box left from the chick stage, with water, food and some meal worms.

Is there anything else I can or should do? Once I get the Corvid, I will dose her separately, and also dose the entire flock? I'm feeling kind of helpless right now, so any advice is appreciated.

Something else I would recommend prior to medicating them is to collect a fecal sample and find a veterinarian who will do a fecal float test for you to confirm that the problem is coccidiosis.

Thank you again for your help! A second RIR showed the same symptoms yesterday afternoon, which had me worried. But I just checked on them and everyone is looking to be on the mend - signifcantly better than yesterday. The whole flock is being treated, and I'll do a followup round in a couple of weeks. I appreciate your knowledge and guidance. :)
