Found one really sick hen tonight, her eyes are swollen . One eye is caked shut and she has a snotty nose. How do I know if it's a cold or infectious coryza? We isolated her for the night and will clean her up tomorrow and see if we can find tylan to give her. If it is coryza are her eggs safe to eat once she is well?

Coryza generally has a bad odor about the bird's head. If not it might be mycoplasma or some other disease. I can't post links now, but google common poultry diseases, and click on the first listing. It should be U of Florida, and is a good one.
