Obviously you either did not read all of my post or obviously do not understand.

I said that the OP was clearly within their rights to sell their birds for whatever price they chose.

I was merely trying to convey that maybe JUST MAYBE the "caller" uses his income from poultry sales to sustain their livelihood.

Sometimes when someone feels as if their livelihood is threatened, that they do and say things they normally would not.

Concerning throwing my eggs in the ditch, rather than give them away.......I will not give my eggs away so that my neighbor, or anyone else who sells eggs for that matter, for important income , may be sitting in a cold dark house this winter.And so that urbanites can get a bargain from the "DUMB RUBE FARMER", And just because i wanted to feel as if "I was a homesteader, and doing my impersonation of Oliver Wendall Douglas"

I feel as if the "caller" was merely trying to keep his commodity from going the way of the CHICAGO BOARD OF TRADE and the KANSAS CITY BOARD OF TRADE....you know the place where a farmers wages are traded by the minute? Propane tank full one minute....empty the next. Ever went to work when you did not know what your pay was from one minute to the next? TRY IT!!!!!

And contrary to your belief, some people do make their living from selling agricultural products, and Chickens may be only a portion of their sales. Here on my farm we sell, corn, soybeans, wheat,milo, cattle and lamb. Now let me cut into 20% of your income.....will you squak? Chicken sales may only be a percentage of their income.

I'm trying to get some people who are FULL OF SPITE , to maybe have a LITTLE COMPASSION.

I assume this thread is probably being eyeballed for being shut down.
