COST OF CHICKEN FOOD

I use a 21$ layer ration for my hens supplemented with garden greens.

I live in Knoxville, TN, and went to the Knox Co. Farmer's Co-op today (Fri.) to pick up more ration. I was SHOCKED. A 50# bag now costs $10.60, PLUS 9,75% sales tax, and a 50# bag of cracked corn is $7.35 plus tax. This is ridiculous.

Do others face the same steep prices around the country?

I can only get 16% layer and it runs around $12.50/50 lbs. I don't buy corn but earlier in the year it was $10/50 lbs. Your prices are quite low to me here in SE PA!

Layer pellets for me here are $12.99 plus tax 50/50 scratch is %14.99 plus tax it's brutal.
