Cost of peafowl.

Aviary expense is probably a big one for me...When I get out of college I better have or get a good job to keep this obsession alive is all I can say...Especially when I like to think big...Just the other day I decided I want my grandma's pool to have a trellis going across it with scuppernongs growing on it and swings attached to it so that I can swing out over the pool and eat scuppernongs. It is bad enough that I am always thinking of having a giant indoor tropical aviary with a creek and a giant waterfall. I wonder if I could get hired by an amusement part or zoo to think up ideas for them?

I haven't bought a new peafowl for a few years now so buying more isn't really an expense right now.

Peacocks(males) are really only vocal during breeding season and they are almost dead-calm once their trains drop until the next spring breeding season.$600 is high for a pair of 2 year olds, but not unreasonable for a trio of 3 year olds of different patterns, but IB is the most common and cheapest. Everyone needs to make a lot of bucks fast nowdays and the uninformed consumer is their best customers.

My peas make cat calls all year round the if I call them or if they hear something familiar like the door of our dump truck closing or the bull dozer cranked up, but mating season we get some extra loud mating calls, but I love them and they don't bother us at night cause we run fans to drowned out bird sounds like 3 am wake up crow from the Roo on the porch.

Our white peacock with a full train had his flight feathers clipped on one wing and was still able to jump over the six foot fences. I recommend using flight netting.
