Coturnix fertility issues

Are you feeding them medicated feed? I heard that can cause sterility in the males.

Was a good suggestion hehehe "bad at sex" could be the cause, yeah, lol, just throwing this out there but what if they're inbred and that's hurting their fertility? :O where did you get them from?

Wish I could find organic quail feed here :3

I’m having the same issue right now. I have 21 eggs in the incubator. 7 are from someone else. Those 7 are developing but none of mine appear to be. I’m on day 5 right now. After candling tonight I cracked a couple of mine open and they don’t have any development. Any suggestions??

And here I was, just astounded by his prolific layers! My 2 cages of cots have a total of 11 females and 2 males and a good day gives me 5 eggs - only 5eggs from 11 girls! 16 hours of light per day, higher protein feed, some treats in the evening, fresh water, extra calcium source from cuttlebone (which they really seem to love), and the occasional sand bath (which they adore). I did put a few of their eggs into my homemade incubator and several are developing, so the boys know what to do.....but those girls aren't very prolific layers.
