coturnix laying question??

Ive raised bobwhites but these are my first coturnix. Ive been told they are predigeous layers..I even read somewhere on the net that a hen can lay upwards of 300 egss per year(and we know since its on the net it must be true

I think it depends on how old they are. I have a pair that's almost a year old, and she only lays once a week if I'm lucky. I'll let you know in a few weeks when my babies start laying, ok?
 
they are laying machines, starting at 7 weeks and they eat alot for how small they are.
