Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

Eww on the partially developed egg! Did a hen sit for a while then? Or is it warm where you live?

We went away for 6 days & I had the kid next door collect eggs everyday.
He must have missed that one because when we got home there was 1 turkey egg in there so we thought she had laid it that day.
Apparently she had been sitting on it for almost a week

Didn't even think to candle it.
Kicking myself for it though because I would have liked her to hatch it. We had to process our tom like 3 weeks before because he was getting mean.

Hello everyone!
I'd like to know if anyone can help me identifying this color variety of japanese quail.
They are two females, one is wild type and the other has the blue gene as in for chickens which alters it's color making her appear blonde. She only has blue instead of black where black is supposed to be, the brown and reddish color is intact.
Some pics below:

Thanks!

is this one cinnamon?
and is this one Tibetan?

My tibetians are a deeper color, but its possible. I can't answer on the cinnamon, have never owned any.

She has less "blue" to her I think than yours.
Her Mom is a golden, Dad is a pharoah. Its a pleasant color, so I am very curious too!
I've moved all my quail to their shed outdoors for the summer.
Think I will set up a tractor style coop for them to get a change of scenery!
My favorite golden hen, Speckles, will follow me around like a chicken if I take her outdoors. She goes crazy dustbathing!

Holy quail egg!
I don't know how this didn't kill her, I've never seen anything like it.
Here's a pic with a white leghorn and a barred rock egg. The other is with a normal quail egg. It's somehow bigger than my bantam's is!

I've had a few of those myself. It's usually with younger hens that are still trying to work the kinks out. 10 bucks says that it is a double yolk. I only had 1 hen that was seriously injured by 1 of these. It's almost a survival of the fittest rite of passage in my flock.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't triple.
I've gotten a couple whoppers that were doubles before, but nothing like this, it's almost the size of my normal chicken eggs.
I don't know which of my 5 girls laid it, but they all seem to be doing fine.
I'll be eating good for breakfast :)
