I have never had quail before so this is all learn as I go. So far, they seem to doing well. I'd be cross eyed with 90!

ROFL I raise a lot of them, I have a few pet birds but most are for eggs and food. Proteins are high and are very good for my moms diet. I care for my parents full time. My moms diet requires a high protein so quail and their eggs are a very good source.

a crayon works great too!
Little pigs are growing and eat everything. I still have them on paper towels so the food they scatter they are eating. Last night they were doing little flying jumps. I see a top on the brooder in a few days...

Got my Snowflake eggs today, no extras on those and 1 with a spider web crack. Taped that one so we'll see. And he sent me 15 more A&M's. This box had a much better trip than the last one. If I have read the right info, the Snowflakes will take about 23 days to hatch? So lockdown at day 19/20?

Thank you :)

Not sure on the hatching time for snowflakes... I bet it will pull up on a google search.

No nail polish or crayons here, have used the tape before. Thanks for the info!
Yep google search is where I found the 23 days but never know if what is found in searches is all that accurate.

My quail are doing great. Some are going on 5 weeks old. When should hey start to lay? At what age are they ready to harvest. I have 12 now ranging from 5-3 weeks of age. I want to keep a couple of roos and hens to go with them. What is the recommended ratio? How much room do I need to provide for them? Do I need to keep each roo separated. I'm going to assume they should not be allowed to free range if I ever want to see them again...
