All the Coturnix Quail I saw when I was getting eggs were brown. So, I now have 25 striped Coturnix Quail chicks like I expected and one light colored...

What is up with the off colored chick? Will it stay a different color?
Is it a Coturnix?

Is it yellow with stripes? It sounds like a golden, and yes it is a coturnix. Golden is usually dominant over brown, but sometimes it works out that it's not. So apparently the person you got your eggs from has some browns that are carriers of golden.

So...if I keep that one for breeding I should get more goldens?
It looks nice being the odd one out...

If it is a golden which I agree with Shelley it sounds like it, its a dominant color... so wether it's a hen or a roo, you keep that bird and breed ito to your browns you WILL get more goldens. If it's a roo, put it in with 5 hens (just an example) and out of the hatch you will get almost 100% golden chicks though some may be brown.

Hi,

Gold is not compleatly dominant over the normal, it works out to be 2 gold chicks in 3, so by putting the gold with normals it about 66% gold and 33% normals.
