So we went to the farm on Friday, removed the rest of the birds in the evening and was hoping to take some photos on Saturday when there's day light.....the next day we came and none of them were sitting on the eggs anymore. The eggs were all kicked around all over the sanded area!
It’s possible. The birds from this hutch aren’t afraid of us but the only time they get stressed is when we cull out the extra roosters.Oh, that's too bad. Any survivors?
I wonder if the removal of the other birds scared them? It's possible their instincts told them something like "the others got eaten".
if they do it againIt’s possible. The birds from this hutch aren’t afraid of us but the only time they get stressed is when we cull out the extra roosters.
Oh well. I don’t know how old the eggs are so we will see...
if they do it again leave them alone complete see if that worksThis was before they kicked all the eggs around. We hadn’t cleaned the area for awhile because we didn’t want to disturb the broody hens
