Coturnix Quail sand bath

4-5 weeks about 5 some do 3 weeks it varies a little with people

Day 3...I give my quail dirt. (Peat moss is actually what I use)
A little older than day 3 but it's the first video I came across.

That seems to be a point of debate between a few people, there are a few posts on it , but both my coturnix and buttons love this, ignore the maybe written on it that was before i got it.

You have to pay close attention when using sand because the dummies will eat it in the beginning and it can cause crop issues.

My personal opinion, eversince I gave my chicks a place for dust bath, none of them looked wet, and They were more active.

Go to your local landscape supply and ask them for bedding sand. Will likely be the cheapest way for most to get it. Or the tube sand at Lowe’s or HD. Stay away from sand in a sealed plastic bag as it will likely have moisture in it.
