Coturnix with a mask?



Lets see if my picture works. If it does its the best one I have gotten of him so far. He is a bit camera shy lol. He now has bristly wisker/feather/feeler things under his beak but you cant see it in the picture.

Well, it worked, kinda. I have no idea where in cyber space it is but if I click on it, there it is in its own page. How odd!
 
i'm a little late on the subject, but i've read that males during breeding season will sometimes get masks, just like they only foam during breeding season.
 
I am selectively breeding the masks in my "giant" line of coturnix...If size and color fits well, there will be a nicer meat bird out there.
