Coturnix with head injury

I have a quail with a head injury...quite a bit of blood and one eye is shut. I know that quails are quite hardy creatures, so will probably heal by herself, but is there anything i can do to make her recovery less painful or quicker? I have her separated so no blood-pecking can happen.

I really do hate to see my new quails injured :-(

Gently clean the wound. Folks generally recommend use of an antibiotic ointment without pain relief additive. Keep her warm and hydrated.

Then take a deep breath — she’ll be ok with your TLC.

Separate her from the other birds and keep her warm and her wound clean.

Thank you...she seems to be healing rather well...just the feathers clogged up now. Her eye is open, and she is eating a lot more now. Thank you very much.
