5-6 weeks is the perfect time to ID gender by color/size of comb/wattles on most breeds.6 weeks is early, but looks like a pullet to me. Marans are pretty big birds and chicks grow at alarming rates, I'd give it a few weeks before you panic (assuming you don't want it to be a cockerel)..
I agree. By 'early,' I mean too early to consider getting rid of the bird if you aren't 100% solid on gender being that it's still some time before potential crowing and the like (in the event that a gender confused bird settles on being male).5-6 weeks is the perfect time to ID gender by color/size of comb/wattles on most breeds.
