I have a 1 yr. old Speckled Sussex hen that I gave Equimax to for tapeworm. She's not been wormed before. The next morning she was coughing and had a raspy rattling sound while breathing. Her eyes are clear, no nasal discharge. I looked to see if she had visible gapeworms as I have heard they'll cause severe breathing issues, no evidence of them. A few hours after deworming she passed several long tapeworms. Her breathing problem came on so suddenly, no other illnesses in the flock. I gave her an injection in her breast of Tylan 50, and have been putting Vet Rx on her beak, under her wing and that seems to have helped. Her poop looks normal, only saw one with visible worms about an hour after the deworming (appeared to be dead, and was not broken into segments) While she seems to be recovering (no more rasp and only occasional cough) I wanted to see if there is anything else I should be doing for her, and I have to retreat in a week (this is day 3) and don't want to overwhelm her system. Any advice appreciated.
