We've been fighting this respiratory issue for a couple of weeks. We have used AC vinegar and VetRX for treatment. All 3 hens seemed to be on the mend but one has started back with coughing, open mouth breathing and seems to get tired quickly. Her poo and eyes are watery. Any ideas on what this could be and If it will pass?

No it won't pass without an antibiotic. It could be MG or CRD or any one of a number of respiratory ailments chickens can get. Since they're halfway back to health, or seem to be, probably Oxytet will work for them. It's a water soluble antibiotic powder you can mix and give them for seven to ten days. Give it to all three. There is a withdrawal period with this medication as far as eating eggs...wait two to three weeks. It's available at feed stores. I think it's one tsp per gallon but you should double check; the feed store can figure it out for you if you can't figure out the bulk directions. If you want to stay as natural as possible and avoid this in future, you can get some Denagard (available on line) and give it to them regularly. That stuff is expensive but it does help. It says to administer every month but every other month (every two months) works. There is no withdrawal period with Denagard, but as far as treatment for what you have, start off with the Oxytet. Another natural alternative to antibiotics that you can give regularly is Oregano Oil, or even fresh chopped oregano. Oregano oil available at feed stores or on line. But again, I wouldn't use oregano to try to treat a sick bird.
