cough

A couple of my hen coughs when they eat,what would cause this?

How long has this been happening and are there any other symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, loss of appetite, etc) that would indicate respiratory disease? If not, it may be that they are eating really fast (competition with other hens) and inhaling dust and food particles. Mine sometimes sneeze when they are eating really fast to gobble everything up before another hen gets it. I've never heard them cough while doing this, though.

Mine definately get all snarfly and wheezy when they eat. I think it's from them making pigs of themselves to get the biggest and best morsels.

I have two feeders and full all the time,no other symptons only the cough.
