Lydia, a mixed Rhode Island Red/White Leghorn is coughing up watery food and eating it again. Persia, a White Leghorn, has a little dried blood on her feathers. My mom thinks Persia gets pecked on by the other two and that is where the dried blood came from as she has no visible wounds.

How do I care for Lydia and what could be her problem?

Thanks:)

I have no idea, but hopefully someone else who comes along does.

I've never heard of this before, and I'm SURE it's not normal.
First I would isolate your sick chickens from eachother and the flock.
Then read read read, and hope for more responses.

More information may be necessary for you to get good help.. ages, vaccination history, diet, lifestyle, have you checked for mite/lice and or treated for anything etc...

We treated her for mites with DE two weeks ago. We treated the coup and the other birds. She laid an egg today. We have been keeping her isolated from the other two.
