This is a 3-year-old Araucana/Leghorn crossbred hen that developed ascites in June and is now recovering.

I think it's a respiratory infection, but no tylosin
how do i manage it?

Is the feed dusty, or are there any environmental irritants that may be irritating the nostrils? Look for any debris blocking her nostrils. Has the chicken been near any new or sick birds. Any new members if the flock just added? Look for any bubbles or foam in one eye.

Thanks for the reply.
We introduced a new chicken in July of this year. There hasn't been any noticeable change, but she has a cough when she gets waterbelly or unwell.
It is possible that an unknown virus was introduced and infected the non-resistant Araucana, but the symptoms are not serious.
Aond I don't think here's a dusty environment.

I didn't look that closely. The strange thing is that she's quiet in the morning and afternoon, but this coughing starts in the evening. That's when she's about to head back to the coop in the evening. Also coughs a little in the middle of the night.
